The two buds have kissed and made up: E! News is reporting that Brody Jenner and Spencer Pratt are friends again — just in time for Brody's new MTV reality series, Bromance. The "bros" had called it quits almost a year ago, when Spencer told Brody that he needed to choose between staying friends with Lauren Conrad or him. "When Brody said he wasn't going to choose, Spencer refused to be friends with Brody," an insider tells E! News. Since then, "Spencer has been calling and texting for a long time, begging to make up, but Brody was just blowing him off," an insider says. "Spencer was relentless." But now the two are "on okay terms" and it looks like it's "possible Spencer could appear on [Brody's] show."

Playing Johnny Cash seems to have really gotten under Joaquin Phoenix's skin. The actor, who learned guitar for the role, has been making a record with musician Tim Burgess. "Once he learned guitar, he found that he had quite a lot of demons inside himself that he wanted to expel through music," reveals Tim. But don't hold your breath waiting for the record; Joaquin is apparently a real perfectionist. "All the tracks... were brilliant, but I think he just keeps scrapping everything or redoing everything. I'm sad to say that I think it's one of those records that many never come out, to be honest with you." If it sounds anything like Scarlett Johansson's foray into music, maybe that's a good thing!

The queen of disco has laid low for 17 years, but Donna Summer is poised to come back big with a new album, Crayons, and a full summer tour. "I wanted this album to have a lot of different directions on it," says Donna. "I just wanted it to be a sampler of flavors and influences from all over the world... like when you're cooking." On the red carpet, Sarah Jessica Parker channeled Carrie Bradshaw's outrageous fashion sense with a Philip Treacy hat to rival Carmen Miranda's. Aside from the headpiece, SJP wore an Alexander McQueen dress and Fred Leighton diamonds. Rumor has it that Carrie, er, Sarah Jessica, rocked 81 different costumes in the movie, but will any one of them be as unforgettable as this red-carpet look? Despite their coy efforts to keep it a secret, In Touch can confirm that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz will tie the knot on May 17. “It’s going to be a small, intimate gathering,” an insider says. On May 8, at a performance for troops at California's Camp Pendleton, Jessica Simpson announced that she will be her little sister’s maid of honor.

In Touch was the first to break the story of Pete and Ashlee’s engagement, after Pete popped the question in Colorado. Then the couple announced it on friendsorenemies.com: "Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well-wishes — it means the world to us.” And although Ashlee remains mum about a possible pregnancy, insiders insist that she's expecting. “They’re keeping it quiet because they want to get married first,” another insider reveals.

At least one original cast member of Beverly Hills, 90210 is headed back to her old zip code. Jennie Garth is joining the cast of the CW spin-off, reprising her role as Kelly Taylor. She’ll be playing a guidance counselor at her alma mater, West Beverly Hills High, but she will not be a series regular, just a recurring character. Jennie is the first original cast member to join the updated series.

What do you get when you put a rock star, a movie star and a prince in one room? Oh, just another ordinary birthday celebration for rocker Bono. The singer had an intimate dinner party at Sass Café in Monaco on Friday, and the guest list included Brad Pitt and Prince Albert II. Angelina Jolie, however, stayed at home and didn't make the party. The sit-down dinner started at 10 p.m. and guests toasted the birthday boy with champagne and strawberry cake. Happy Birthday, Bono!

Paris Hilton has had her share of intense relationships, but this one, with Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden, she swears, is the one. "I am so in love," she told David Letterman last night. "I know I want to spend the rest of my life with Benji. I want to be with him forever. If you saw us together, you'd understand. He's my best friend." It's best friends all around, then, as Paris's other BFF, Nicole Richie, is engaged to Benji's twin, Joel Madden. The question now is, who will make it down the aisle first? An insider confided to In Touch recently that Benji "already told his whole band that he wants Paris to be his wife and have his children." Looks like the race to the chapel is on!
